The presentation, held at the APC National Headquarters, marks the final step in the party’s leadership transition and confirms the composition of the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC). The exercise comes at a critical time as the ruling party begins to reposition ahead of future political contests.

The certificates were presented by Aminu Bello Masari, who chaired the APC Central Coordination Committee responsible for organising the convention. His committee oversaw the planning and execution of the national gathering, which party officials described as orderly and credible.

Masari said the successful conduct of the convention reflected the party’s commitment to internal democracy and coordination. His role as chairman of the coordination committee placed him at the centre of negotiations, logistics and stakeholder management in the lead-up to the event.
Also involved in the process was Mai Mala Buni, who served as Secretary of the committee. Other key figures included Yakubu Dogara, alongside senior party leaders drawn from across the country.
The development reflects broader trends in APC political updates across Nigeria.
The post-convention certification formally validates the outcome of the elections conducted during the convention and signals a seamless transition within the party’s leadership structure. Observers note that such a process is crucial in maintaining stability within a large political organisation like the APC, where internal divisions have, in the past, shaped political outcomes.
Speaking after receiving his certificate, Prof. Yilwatda expressed appreciation to members of the convention committee for what he described as a transparent process. He said the outcome demonstrates the party’s unity and readiness to move forward with a clear agenda.

He noted that the new leadership would focus on strengthening party structures, improving internal cohesion and preparing the APC for the next phase of political engagement. According to him, unity within the party remains central to achieving its broader political objectives.
Members of the NWC echoed similar views, stressing that the convention has reinforced confidence among party members and stakeholders. They pledged to work collectively to build on the outcome and ensure that the party remains competitive.
Political analysts say the smooth transition may help the APC consolidate its position, particularly as attention begins to shift toward future elections and policy direction. The emergence of a new leadership team is expected to shape internal strategies, influence alliances and determine how the party responds to emerging political challenges.
For now, the formal presentation of certificates at the party headquarters sends a clear message of continuity and control. With its leadership structure confirmed, the APC appears set to focus on rebuilding momentum and strengthening its national presence in the months ahead.
