Honourable Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro, Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has expressed profound appreciation to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the diaspora, especially those in the United Kingdom, for their unwavering support and sacrifices during his nomination and confirmation process.
Addressing party members at a dinner following his Senate confirmation as Minister, he described the occasion as “a great day,” acknowledging the dedication of APC members across the world who travelled on short notice and at personal expense to show solidarity. “Your sacrifices will not go unnoticed,” he said warmly, extending heartfelt gratitude to all who stood by him throughout his journey to ministerial confirmation.

Dr. Doro shared a personal reflection on how his nomination came about, noting that it was the unity and collective effort of APC members, especially those in the diaspora made his appointment possible. He commended the APC UK Chapter for its steadfast support and for providing him with the platform and opportunity to serve.
Reassuring members of his openness and accessibility, the Minister said: “Bring all your ideas—I will listen, take note, and work with you. My doors are open to everyone; feel free to reach out.” He further emphasized his guiding principle of leadership, declaring: “Make a difference, be the difference.”
Dr. Doro pledged to approach every issue with urgency, positivity, and a spirit of service, acknowledging that the responsibilities ahead are both demanding and time-consuming. Nevertheless, he reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to effective governance and continued engagement with all stakeholders at home and abroad.
Among those in attendance were Hon. Tunde Doherty, Chairman of APC UK and Diaspora Chapter; Chief Sunday Oudu, APC Deputy Treasurer; Hon. Abimbola Fasaanu; and Dr. Adeleye Jasper Elisha.
Hon. Adeoye, Chairman of the APC Manchester Caucus, urged the Minister to continue being the selfless leader he has always been, while reaffirming the group’s loyalty and readiness to support his administration.
Also speaking, Dr. Bonat Dauda, APC Deputy Chairman (North), expressed gratitude on behalf of members and assured Dr. Doro of their continued prayers and solidarity. “If Honourable Doro succeeds, APC in the diaspora succeeds,” he said, encouraging members to stand united behind the Minister.
Dr. Dauda concluded with a prayer for divine wisdom and understanding for the Minister as he embarks on his new assignment.
The event ended on a note of optimism, with members pledging renewed commitment to nation-building and to the success of the APC government under the leadership of Minister Doro.
