The All Progressives Congress (APC) is gearing up for its National Convention, scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 March, 2026.
As part of the convention preparations, the party has announced the screening of aspirants seeking national offices, which will hold on 24 March, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
According to a notice issued by the Secretary of the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Isa Yuguda, only aspirants who have purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will be screened. Yuguda, a former Governor of Bauchi State, emphasized that all aspirants must appear in person for the exercise and come with all relevant supporting documents for verification.
The screening exercise is a crucial step in the party’s convention preparations, following a detailed timetable released in December 2025 for nationwide ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses.
The process began with membership e-registration on 1 December, 2025, and continued until January 30, 2026, with various stages, including the issuance of congress notices, sale and submission of forms, and screening of aspirants.
