The All Progressives Congress (APC) has ordered the swearing-in of its newly elected leaders across Nigeria.
Mr. Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, discloses this on Tuesday during the inauguration order, the statement noted.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby directs that the Ward, Local Government and State Executive Committees duly elected at the 2026 Congresses of the Party be sworn in inaugurated . . . in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Party’s Constitution,” the statement read.
According to the order, it indicated that the development applies to all leaders chosen during the 2026 congresses at the ward, local government, and state levels. The party directed that the swearing-in must follow the rules written in the APC Constitution.
The party’s move can be seen as a call to the new executive committees to begin their duties officially. It is also a step necessary to strengthen the leadership structure of the party following the recent elections held in different parts of the country.
In the official message, Mr Morka in the statement thanked its members and supporters for keeping the peace during the voting process.
