The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, today led the flag-off of the electronic registration (e-registration) exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in parts of the state, alongside the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
The exercise was officially launched in Dengi, Kanam, and Langtang communities within Langtang North Local Government Area, with the participation of party leaders, stakeholders, and notable sons and daughters of Plateau State. The initiative forms part of APC’s efforts to strengthen its membership database, improve internal organisation, and enhance grassroots participation across the state.

Addressing party members and supporters at the event, Governor Mutfwang expressed delight at the massive turnout, describing the enthusiasm displayed by party faithful, supporters, and admirers as a strong signal of the APC’s growing acceptance and momentum in Plateau State. He noted that the large turnout underscored the confidence of citizens in the party’s leadership and direction.
According to the governor, the increasing political alignment being witnessed across Plateau State would help to strengthen unity within the party, reduce rancour, and close the widening gaps of division that have previously hindered collective progress. He added that a united political front would position Plateau State to attract greater national attention, investments, and developmental opportunities.
Governor Mutfwang further emphasised that inclusive political participation remains key to sustaining peace and development in the state, urging party members to embrace the e-registration exercise as a step towards building a more transparent, organised, and people-driven political structure.
Also speaking at the event, APC National Chairman, Prof. Yilwatda, commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise and praised party members for their commitment. He said the e-registration initiative would strengthen the party’s internal processes and ensure that its membership records reflect current realities on the ground.
The APC e-registration exercise is expected to continue across other local government areas of Plateau State in the coming weeks, as the party intensifies efforts to consolidate its base ahead of future political activities.
