The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the deadline for the purchase and submission of forms for its forthcoming Zonal Congresses and National Convention.
The development was announced on Tuesday in a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement, the new window for the purchase and submission of forms will run from 12 March 2026 to 23 March 2026.
“The APC wishes to inform all members, stakeholders and the general public that the Party has approved an extension of the dates for the purchase and submission of forms for the upcoming Zonal Congress and National Convention,” the statement read.
The party clarified, however, that the adjustment does not affect the previously announced dates for the conduct of the congresses and convention.
“The Party wishes to clarify that this adjustment does not affect the previously scheduled dates for the conduct of the Zonal Congress and the National Convention,” Morka stated.
Under the revised timetable, the Zonal Congress will take place on 25 March 2026, while the National Convention is scheduled to hold from 26 to 27 March 2026, as earlier announced.
In addition, the APC disclosed a change of venue for the South-South Zonal Congress, which will now be held in Asaba, Delta State.
The party also confirmed that official notice of the adjustments had been duly communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in compliance with statutory requirements.
“Our great Party urges all members and stakeholders to take note of these updates and make necessary adjustments,” Morka added.
The extension is expected to provide additional time for aspirants and party stakeholders to complete necessary documentation ahead of the key internal party events, which are seen as crucial to shaping the APC’s leadership structure ahead of future electoral contests.
