The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday has said it did not release any schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, describing a document in circulation as false and misleading.
The clarification was made by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Sulaiman Argungu.
The party said the document, which has been shared on different platforms, did not come from its office.
Argungu said his office had received reports about the document and decided to respond to stop confusion among party members and the public.
He stated clearly that the APC had not published any timetable or plan for the 2027 elections.
“The document is false, misleading, and does not emanate from this office. The APC has not released any such schedule,” he said.

He warned members of the party and supporters not to rely on the information in the document.
He urged them to ignore it completely and wait for official communication from the party.
The APC maintained that only statements from its verified channels should be trusted, adding that the party remains committed to clear and open communication when the time comes to announce any official plans.
This clarification comes at a time when political discussions around the 2027 elections are gaining attention across the country.
However, the APC said it has not taken any step to release a formal schedule.
Argungu also called on the public to be careful about the spread of unverified information, especially on social media. He said false reports can cause confusion and mislead people.
“The party urges the public to rely only on official communication channels for accurate and verified information,” he said.
The APC stressed that it has no link to the circulating information. It also did not give a timeline for when an official schedule may be released.
For now, the APC said any claim about its plans for the 2027 elections outside its official statements should be treated as untrue.
