Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has flagged off the e-registration and revalidation exercise for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
The governor, who became the state’s first documented e-registrant on Monday, issued a stern warning to party officials that the exercise must be inclusive, transparent, and completely free of hanky-panky.
Addressing party stalwarts in Ilorin, AbdulRazaq described the APC as the only vehicle capable of delivering development at the federal, state, and local levels.

He emphasised that e-registration is not just a formality but a strategic tool for planning and empowerment.
“It is important that we know how many of us are members of this exclusive club… arguably the biggest party in Africa,” the governor stated.
“Don’t exclude anyone. We need all the members we can get. Go out and canvas for new members—this is an opportunity to expand from where we used to be.”
Reflecting on his tenure, the governor expressed pride in his administration’s performance, asserting that he will leave Kwara in a more developed state than he found it.
He promised projects spanning education, health, and road infrastructure, as well as a more developed state through “people-centered” policies.
The governor urged members to use these visible achievements as marketing tools to win over new registrants.
The State Coordinator for Membership E-Registration, Mubarak Bello, explained the logistics of the statewide exercise, stating that a valid National Identity Number (NIN) would be mandatory for all participants.
He disclosed that 579 registration agents would be deployed across 193 wards to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
According to Bello, the exercise would begin with the registration of Senatorial Administrators and Local Government Supervisors before extending to other members.
He added that the registration would be conducted simultaneously across all three Senatorial Districts in the state.
Bello added that members with invalid NINs should immediately coordinate with agents to accelerate the revalidation process.
The State APC Chairman, Sunday Fagbemi, assured members that the process was designed to prevent marginalisation.
