He emphasised that sustainable development is impossible without an innovative approach to learning.
According to him, OgunLEARN is designed to provide inclusive, high-quality education to every child in the state, regardless of their geographical location.
He said the network focuses on several key pillars, digital resources tailored to national educational standards, tools that allow students to master subjects at their own speed, integrated platforms to assist educators in delivering modern instruction and a curriculum built to nurture critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
A standout feature of the launch was the governor’s announcement regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) education.
Abiodun categorised the move as a strategic socio-economic investment, aimed at equipping Ogun learners with the tools to solve local problems while remaining competitive on the global stage.
The unveiling of OgunLEARN is the latest in a series of aggressive reforms under the state’s education agenda.
The governor highlighted that the state is pursuing a holistic “Education 2.0” vision through massive school rehabilitations (OgunREHAB) and the modernization of technical colleges and laboratories.
Programmes like OgunEduCASH, OgunSchoLAR, and the Ogun Skills Fund to ease the financial burden on students and families.
Continuous professional development through OgunTEACh and the Digital Professionals Empowerment Program (OgunDiPER) and an improved Education Management Information System (EMIS) to track student and school performance in real-time.
