Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has affirmed his administration’s commitment to continuous partnership with faith-based organisations, such as the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and Overseas, to deliver essential services in education, health, and other social welfare areas to Lagos residents.
The governor made this statement yesterday during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and Overseas, led by its President, Adeniji Kazeem, at the Lagos House, Marina.
Sanwo-Olu commended the Society for its extensive history of interventions, noting its significant positive impacts, particularly in the educational sector, as well as in health, security collaboration, and public enlightenment.

He assured the delegation that the state government would provide the necessary support for the current leadership to have a successful tenure.
While congratulating Kazeem, a former Lagos State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General, on his emergence as the Society’s President, Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence in his leadership abilities.
Earlier in the engagement, Kazeem, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to supporting the state government in advancing education, healthcare, and social welfare across the state.
Kazeem described the meeting as an important step to strengthen the collaboration between the government and faith-based groups for inclusive development and moral revitalisation.
He stated that the society, in line with its Islamic values, has been steadfast for over a century in promoting quality education, moral discipline, and community service, positioning it as a “dependable partner” in achieving a “Greater Lagos.”
He also used the opportunity to praise Sanwo-Olu for his exemplary leadership and significant developmental strides in infrastructure, education, and social welfare, assuring him of the society’s continued prayers and partnership.
