Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to positioning the state as one of the most business-friendly destinations in Nigeria.
Mr Oyebanji gave the assurance on Monday in his office in Ado Ekiti while receiving the second-quarter report from the Ease of Doing Business Council (EoDB).
He emphasised his government’s resolve to eliminate all barriers hindering business operations in the state and to implement policies that would improve accessibility for investors.
The governor identified power supply and road infrastructure as two critical challenges discouraging investment.
He noted that his administration is actively working to address these issues by improving electricity access and upgrading road networks across the state.

Highlighting the impact of reliable electricity on reducing operational costs, particularly those linked to diesel consumption, Mr Oyebanji stressed the need for the government to prioritise efforts that will guarantee a steady power supply to ease the burden on entrepreneurs and help their businesses achieve profitability.
He further assured potential and existing investors that the state government is committed to simplifying all procedures related to starting and running businesses in Ekiti.
According to him, streamlining bureaucratic processes would encourage more investment, support innovation, and create an enabling environment for businesses of all sizes to thrive.
The Ease of Doing Business Council meeting, chaired by the governor, was attended by council members and representatives from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
