The Kenya security force has announced the arrest of a 27-year-old male suspect, Paul Owuodho, also known as Fazul Muhamed, for the brutal attack and killing of Abdirahim Ibrahim.
The alleged suspect, Owuodho, was linked to the fatal shooting of Ibrahim, which occurred on 9 November at DD Plaza located in Nairobi’s Kamukunji area.
The Directorate Criminal Investigation Kenya (DCI) announced his arrest on Saturday via their X handle, disclosing that Owuodho was apprehended last night.
The male suspect was arrested following an intelligence-led operation conducted jointly by Shauri Moyo detectives and their DCI Hqs counterparts.
A California Police Station report revealed that a security guard on 9 November heard a gunshot before calling the security force.
After the police arrived at the scene, they found Abdirahim’s body lying in a pool of blood, dead.
Further disclosure noted that the deceased had a bullet shot through his neck.
After a series of investigations, the suspect was traced last night to his hideout around Kiambiu slums and taken into custody.
Also, an investigation is ongoing by the Shauri Moyo detectives ahead of Odhiambo’s arraignment on Monday.
Meanwhile, the ongoing investigation noted that the suspect and three gang members are linked in a murder case that occurred on 8 August 2023, which led to the death of a DCI officer, David Mayaka, in the Mihang’o area of Kayole.
