The President joined Governor Bago’s family, friends, and political associates in celebrating the milestone, noting that his administration has delivered “transformative leadership” across key sectors of the state’s economy.
According to the statement, Tinubu particularly praised the governor’s interventions in health, education, and infrastructure, as well as what he described as a “revolution in the agricultural sector,” which has earned Bago the popular epithet of “farmer governor.”
President Tinubu also highlighted Governor Bago’s professional background, saying his years of experience in the banking sector and his service as a member of the House of Representatives had adequately prepared him for the demanding task of governance.
“The President believes that Governor Bago’s experience and exposure have positioned him well for the onerous, dynamic, and purposeful responsibility of repositioning the state and lifting many citizens out of poverty,” the statement said.
Tinubu further offered prayers for the continued well-being of the governor, his family, and the people of Niger State, wishing him good health and strength to sustain his development agenda.
